club for girls in the Lyndhurst public school district

Welcome to the Lyndhurst STEM club website!

The purpose of this site is to promote the STEM Club for Girls here in the Lyndhurst School District. STEM, an acronym for the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math, is a curriculum that is focused on the idea of educating students in those four areas specifically. Instead of teaching these four topics as different subjects completely, STEM focuses on integrating them into one cohesive learning program that's based on real-world applications.

This club will focus on the STEM club for girls within the area around the Lyndhurst School District. On this site, you will find information on what STEM is, the principles of it, more about the STEM club, STEM resources, and much more. The U.S. Department of Labor is expecting for there to be over roughly 1.2 million job openings in field related to STEM in 2018. However, there won't be enough qualified graduates to fill these positions. We hope that we can encourage more young women and girls to take an interest and enter the field.

We hope that you find the resources on this site to be helpful. Lyndhurst STEM aims to further the education of students in science, technology, engineering, and math. The United States has historically been at the forefront of these fields, and our STEM club wants to help uphold this standard.
